Here Come The Haters: What to Do When Jealous People Have Something To Say?

Haters are everywhere. You tell a friend or family member about your idea or your business and they say “I don’t see it, you should get a real job”. Or how about this one, “Your still trying to make that business work, when are going to give up?”

Here’s another scenario, your business finally starts to grow and you begin to climb the success ladder and here come the negative comments online. Or perhaps people that launched businesses with you who aren’t having success yet, stop speaking to you. Jealous people who can’t stand to see someone else rise to the top.

Frank Viola writes on his post “Haters Gonna Hate”

If you are making an impact on people’s lives, you will . . . (not might) . . . attract haters.

So if you don’t want any haters in your life, don’t speak, don’t write, don’t blog, don’t podcast . . . oh, and don’t breathe.

Haters are either fueled by jealousy, low self-esteem (which is trying to assert itself), or an inflated-ego (which has been bruised somehow and elicits bluster).

I’d love to hear from you what are your thoughts? Have you been hated on?
